Vulnerable Pupil Mentor Needed – Full-time role - Daily rate £77 - £95
Teaching personnel currently have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a change in career. One of our partner schools in the BS16 area are currently seeking a new mentor to support vulnerable pupils within a Specialist Academy.
The school supports students from KS1 to KS5 who have SEMH (social, emotional mental health) needs, speech and language needs and autism. They are looking for someone who has experience either professionally or personally supporting well-being and behavioural needs previously, as the pupils have come from an extremely vulnerable background and have multiple trauma-based difficulties that they struggle to cope with on a daily basis.
A typical day within the school for you will be to work in a group or 1:1 environment to provide tailored assistance to individuals which require specialist support. Prior to conducting your role, you will be required to learn about the children and cater your approach to their individual needs. You will be expected to plan according to the pupil’s needs each week, including the discussion of emotional and educational development.
Due to the complex levels of support these pupils require, the school are looking to continue the successful applicant on a long term role to ensure consistency and commitment to the school.
The role –
- Full time (Monday to Friday)
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and behavioural needs
- Starting ASAP
- Daily rate £75 - £95
