Unqualified Teaching Assistant

No Experience Needed – Just a Passion for Education

Location: Cardiff (CF5) – Secondary School
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm
Pay: £95 per day via PAYEE with weekly pay
Start Date: 27th of April 2026

Teaching Personnel is offering a fantastic opportunity to step into the classroom as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant—no prior school experience required. All we ask is that you bring enthusiasm, commitment, and a real desire to work with young people.

About the Role

Join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Cardiff (CF5), working with students aged 11–18 in a mainstream setting.

You’ll support pupils with a range of needs, including:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Autism (ASD) and ADHD

You’ll also deliver targeted intervention sessions twice a week, with full training, resources, and ongoing guidance provided.

This is a close-knit, community-focused school that prioritises both student wellbeing and staff development—making it the perfect place to begin your journey in education.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping pupils build confidence, focus, and engagement
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and managing behaviour
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting tailored learning and behaviour plans

  • Willingness to complete FREE training and obtain an Enhanced DBS & EWC registration (full support provided)
  • Two professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
