Monday - Friday, 08:15-15:00
£115 per day (PAYE weekly pay)
Teaching Personnel is seeking to appoint a highly organised and professional School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive school community in the Cardiff (CF3) area.
This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy front-office environment and is passionate about contributing to the smooth running of a school.
As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional first impression, while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the school’s reception and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed (sign-in, visitor badges, and escorting).
- Act as the main point of contact for incoming telephone calls and emails, responding promptly and appropriately to enquiries.
- Liaise with parents/guardians as required, maintaining clear and professional communication.
- Support the wider school team with administrative tasks including printing, copying, and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the smooth running of the school office.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be highly organised, efficient, and able to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Have a proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable attitude.
- Be committed to supporting all aspects of school life and upholding safeguarding standards.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one – guidance provided).
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (support provided).
- Ability to provide two professional references.
- Reliable transport or ability to commute to the Cardiff (CF3) area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
