Teaching Personnel are working alongside an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school in Doncaster who wish to appoint a team of cover supervisors to alleviate pressure from staff and provide continuity to pupils during periods of absence.

The school are welcoming applications from graduates, aspiring teachers, unqualified teachers and Youth Work specialists wishing to gain further experience within a secondary school setting. The school are looking to consider full time, part-time and ad-hoc members of staff.

This position will commence with immediate effect and will continue initially until the end of the academic year.

  • Full time, part-time and ad-hoc Cover Supervisors required, immediate start.
  • Large secondary school based in Doncaster, Ofsted graded 'Good'
  • Temporary position, with the opportunity to secure a fixed term post in the new academic year
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending upon previous experience
  • Obtain further CPD training through Teaching Personnel

The role of a Cover Supervisor will essentially be to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher with pre-set work each day. The Cover team will be required at the start of each school day (08:30am) until the end of the day. If, at times there are periods where no cover is required, the Cover Supervisors will be deployed in subject areas to support identified pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.

Key responsibilities of this role include; ensuring behaviour policies are adhered to, pupils are completing the cover work that has been left and that all pupils are safe. There will be expectations that the successful Cover Supervisor will cover lessons across the subject and ability range so flexibility and confidence is essential.

Full training and support will be provided throughout this position, and even though previous experience in this field is desired, transferable skills will be taken into consideration.
