Job description

SEN Tutor Roles Available – Empower Young People in Poole

TP Tutors is currently seeking motivated and supportive SEN Tutors to work with learners requiring personalised educational support across Poole and surrounding areas.

Job Title: SEN Tutor
Location: Poole and nearby areas
Hours: Full-time and part-time flexibility available
Tuition Delivery: In-person sessions

About the Position

As an SEN Tutor, you will provide bespoke educational support to children and young people with additional learning needs. Learners may include those with Autism, ADHD, SEMH difficulties, anxiety, or those who have experienced interruptions in their education.

Your sessions will be centred around building confidence, encouraging progress, and helping learners feel supported in a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Create and adapt resources to suit learner abilities and needs
  • Foster learner confidence, motivation, and independence
  • Support emotional and academic development
  • Assess progress and tailor future sessions accordingly
  • Develop positive working relationships with parents and professionals
  • Maintain a nurturing and structured approach to learning
  • Travel to various learner locations across Poole and surrounding areas

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience with children or young people is preferred
  • Suitable for applicants from tutoring, teaching, SEN, mentoring, or youth support backgrounds
  • Compassionate and adaptable attitude
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Reliable and professional approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Comfortable travelling for in-person tuition

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
