Job description

1:1 Tutor – Peterborough

We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to provide tailored educational support to pupils in Peterborough. Sessions will take place either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity for educators who are committed to helping pupils build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their academic potential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different abilities and learning styles
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents, and schools
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Maintain safeguarding and professional standards at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience within the UK
  • Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce)
  • Ability to travel within Peterborough
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
