Tutor
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors for a variety of referrals across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Ideally you will have experience and a good working knowledge of Attachment Disorder as many of these students have experienced trauma and extremely difficult childhoods.
We like to give our tutors regular work - one of our current tutors has commented that "Teaching Personnel are friendly, consultative and less pushy than others. There are a variety of opportunities available; I was offered four different roles in a week. Big thanks to Emma and the team for finding me work that is personally rewarding"
The referrals that we have available on a regular basis include:
- Autism
- Attachment Disorder
- Severe Mental Health Difficulties
- Young Offenders
- Pupils at risk of exclusion or excluded students
- Students not coping with mainstream education
- Students who are requiring 1:1 intervention to help boost their attainment levels with SATS and GCSE's
The roles will generally involve planning your own work so a good knowledge of the curriculum is essential across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Often the students will be working below expected levels due to gaps in their education.
If you are interested in these types of roles, please contact Emma Gale as soon as possible and I will be happy to talk you through our current available referrals!
