Job description

TP Tutors are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Tutors to support pupils on a 1:1 basis. 

There has been an increase in demand for specialists in core subjects (English, Maths and Science) and we have opportunities to support both primary and secondary pupils, so we welcome Tutors from any background.

Pupils require tuition for a variety of reasons, such as:

  • Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
  • Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
  • Medical needs
  • Learning Difficulties
  • Communication and Social Needs
  • Relocation and awaiting a school placement
  • Improvement in grades
  • Support with GCSE preparation

Successful applicants will need:

  • Experience with primary or secondary aged children
  • Qualified teacher status or relevant teaching qualification
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Ability to plan and deliver your own engaging lesson, tailored to the pupils needs and ability.
  • A calm, kind, and patient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
