Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – Home & School Settings
Location: Exhall Area
Hours: Flexible – During School Hours
Pay: Competitive Rates (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Exhall area in both home and school settings during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised learning support to students who require additional help outside of mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition based on individual pupil needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the UK curriculum
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education
  • Monitor and report on student progress
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families, and schools

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Patient, reliable, and professional approach

Desirable

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with SEN/SEND learners
  • Background in alternative provision or outreach tutoring

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
