Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one tuition tailored to individual learning needs and educational targets.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using appropriate teaching resources.
  • Track learner progress and adapt sessions to improve outcomes.
  • Encourage positive learning habits, independence and self-belief.
  • Support children and young people with SEND, SEMH and additional behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Liaise with parents, schools and relevant professionals when necessary.
  • Maintain clear session records and follow safeguarding procedures.

Subjects and Tuition Areas

We welcome tutors with experience in any of the following:

  • Primary English, Maths and Science.
  • Secondary education and GCSE preparation.
  • Functional Skills in English and Maths.
  • Humanities, languages and other National Curriculum subjects.
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Home tuition, targeted interventions and alternative education provision.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of two years’ teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience working with primary, secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills or SEND learners.
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to engage pupils and respond effectively to learning or behavioural challenges.
  • The flexibility to travel to assignments throughout Corby and surrounding areas.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

A recognised teaching qualification, such as QTS or a PGCE, is desirable but not essential.

Experience That Would Be an Advantage

Experience supporting learners with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, EHCPs or interrupted education would be beneficial. Previous experience delivering individual interventions or working within alternative provision is also welcomed.

Why Work with TP Tutors?

  • Competitive weekly pay.
  • Flexible tuition assignments in local areas.
  • Dedicated support from an experienced education consultant.
  • Weekly in-house payroll.
  • Free CPD and professional development opportunities.
  • Temporary placements with the possibility of permanent roles.
  • The chance to help pupils overcome barriers and make progress in their education.
