Job description

Job Title: KS2 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Clacton-on-Sea

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Salary:

£25 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored educational support to Key Stage 2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  • Develop individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEN and SEMH students in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum and relevant teaching methods

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Key Stage 2

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student requirements
  • Effective classroom management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in learners homes, local libraries or schools
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
