1:1 Tutor – Primary & Secondary Students
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support Primary and Secondary students across Cambridge and the surrounding areas. Tuition sessions will be delivered either in pupils' homes or within school settings during school hours.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers and experienced education professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential through personalised learning and targeted academic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Plan and adapt lessons in line with the student's ability, learning style, and educational goals.
- Support students with academic progress, confidence building, and study skills.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress.
- Liaise professionally with schools, parents/carers, and agency staff as required.
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a Primary or Secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience working with children and young people with varying learning needs and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Access to reliable transport is desirable due to travel between tuition locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
