Job description

Engaging and Supportive Core Subject Tutors Required in the BCP Area

At TP Tutors, we are committed to ensuring every child has access to a quality education. We are currently seeking passionate, engaging, and supportive Core Subject Tutors to work with students in the BCP area. Many of the young people we support have Special Educational Needs (SEN), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We’re looking for tutors who are patient, understanding, and ready to empower and inspire learners to achieve their academic goals.

The Role:

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions for core subjects, both in-person and via our virtual portal.
  • Plan engaging and tailored lessons to support students in reaching their educational goals.
  • Assess and track student progress to ensure learning outcomes are met.
  • Maintain open communication with guardians and case workers to ensure the best possible support for our students.

Our Ideal Tutor:

  • Experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions across core subjects and potentially cross-curricular topics.
  • Proactive, with a drive to get students back on track with their education.
  • Familiarity with implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Highly organised and thorough in tracking progress and ensuring students achieve their learning outcomes.

Hours are available during term time, mainly between 8:30am and 3:30pm, with flexibility to work around your other commitments.

This role is particularly suitable for individuals from an education or social care background.

Please note, all applicants will be subject to background checks and must hold a current DBS certificate (registered with the update service). TP-Tutors can assist with your application if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
