Make a Real Difference in Northumberland – One Child at a Time

At TP Tutors, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed—regardless of their background, personal challenges, or life circumstances. That’s why we work closely with Northumberland’s local authorities to deliver targeted, one-to-one tuition to the children and young people who need it most.

We’re currently looking for qualified teachers across Northumberland who can deliver English or Maths support. You’ll work with pupils outside of mainstream education, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their full potential.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

You’ll be working with a diverse range of learners across Northumberland, including:

  • Children in care (Looked After Children)

  • Pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Young people excluded from school or awaiting placements

  • Primary and secondary-aged pupils

These learners often need more than academic help—they need a supportive, trusted adult who believes in them and their potential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver in-person, tailored English or Maths tuition sessions across Northumberland

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals to coordinate support

  • Design and adapt learning plans to suit individual needs

  • Track and report progress using our easy-to-use LEAP platform

  • Access ongoing support, resources, and CPD through the TP Tutors Academy

Why Join TP Tutors in Northumberland?

  • Flexible hours to fit your availability and lifestyle

  • Make a meaningful difference to young lives in your local area

  • Be part of a supportive team and national network of passionate educators

  • Help close the learning gap in one of England’s most unique and varied counties

We’re Looking For:

  • Fully Qualified Teachers

  • Confident in delivering Maths or English at primary or secondary level

  • Empathetic, patient educators

  • Creative, adaptable individuals who make learning engaging and accessible
