At TP Tutors, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed—regardless of their background, personal challenges, or life circumstances. That’s why we work closely with Northumberland’s local authorities to deliver targeted, one-to-one tuition to the children and young people who need it most.
We’re currently looking for qualified teachers across Northumberland who can deliver English or Maths support. You’ll work with pupils outside of mainstream education, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their full potential.
Who You’ll Be Supporting:
You’ll be working with a diverse range of learners across Northumberland, including:

Children in care (Looked After Children)
-
Pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Young people excluded from school or awaiting placements
-
Primary and secondary-aged pupils
These learners often need more than academic help—they need a supportive, trusted adult who believes in them and their potential.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver in-person, tailored English or Maths tuition sessions across Northumberland

Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals to coordinate support

Design and adapt learning plans to suit individual needs

Track and report progress using our easy-to-use LEAP platform

Access ongoing support, resources, and CPD through the TP Tutors Academy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
