Teaching Personnel, a leading educational recruitment agency, is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Team Teach Teaching Assistants to join our team in various schools across the Boston area. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who require additional support and to make a positive impact on their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behavior or special educational needs (SEN)
- Implement de-escalation and behavior management techniques following the principles of Team Teach
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised behavior plans
- Support students in their academic and social development, promoting positive relationships
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions to enhance your Team Teach skills
- Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and school staff to provide holistic support to students
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognised Team Teach training course is essential
- Previous experience working with students with challenging behavior or SEN is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
