Team Teach Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel, a leading educational recruitment agency, is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Team Teach Teaching Assistants to join our team in various schools across the Boston area. Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behavior or special educational needs (SEN)
• Implement de-escalation and behavior management techniques following the principles of Team Teach
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualised behavior plans
• Support students in their academic and social development, promoting positive relationships
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary
• Attend and actively participate in training sessions to enhance your Team Teach skills
• Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and school staff to provide holistic support to students

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognised Team Teach training course is essential
• Previous experience working with students with challenging behavior or SEN is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies
• Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs
