Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEN (Primary)
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £16,500 – £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only (39 weeks)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you compassionate, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a Primary SEN School in Aylesbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping our pupils thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs

  • Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Use strategies such as visual aids, sensory tools, and structured routines to support pupil engagement

  • Assist with personal care, where required

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)

  • Is patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure

  • Understands the importance of structure, routine, and differentiated learning

  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or similar) or is willing to undertake training

  • Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
