Teaching Assistant – Carmarthenshire
Location: Carmarthenshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £14.25 per hour
✨ About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support schools across the Carmarthenshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding educational environment, supporting pupils in their learning and development.
You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide classroom support, assist with activities, and help ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) where required
- Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour
- Helping create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Requirements
Essential:
- ❤️ A genuine passion for working with children and supporting education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible approach
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
- Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning)
- A valid UK driving licence (not essential, but advantageous)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
