Teaching Assistants for Behaviour Required in Sunderland

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants experienced supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across various SEN schools and Specialist Provisions in Sunderland. There are roles available to start in Januart, supporting both Primary and Secondary aged pupils.

Ideally applicants would have experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour either in an alternative provision/PRU setting or mainstream secondary. An additional qualification such as Team Teach is desired but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have:

-6 months experience supporting students with SEMH in a mainstream or specialist setting

- Strong presence and excellent behaviour management

-Team Teach Trained and a good understanding of SEMH/EBD

We also welcome applications from candidates with alternative experience working with young people and challenging behaviour e.g. Youth/ Social Worker, Police Force or the Armed Forces
