Teaching Assistant - Rochdale

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the support department of our client school in Rochdale. This is a full time position and will involve supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, whether these are SEN, behaviour or learning related.

• Working at a large secondary school with an excellent support structure
• Get paid between £55 and £70, dependent on experience
• Opportunity for further development through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses

You will be working within a large modern secondary school in the Rochdale area located close to major public transport links to Manchester city centre. It is highlighted in the most recent Ofsted report that the SLT have strong plans in future for the school, with this vision being shared and supported by the staff. The school have recently had a huge investment, resulting in excellent facilities for teaching and learning and the results of this can be seen in the schools improving GCSE results.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school is preferred, however we would considered applicants from those with similar transferable experience such as those who have supported young people with any behaviour, learning or SEN related needs in a different capacity. We would also like to hear from any recent graduates who are considering a future career in education and would like to seek further experience in a secondary school before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.
