1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 5 | Christchurch | September Start

One of my lovely junior schools in Christchurch is looking to welcome a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a full-time role supporting a child in Year 5, providing tailored support throughout the school day to help them access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals. The school has a warm, inclusive ethos and a supportive staff team who work together to ensure every child is given the opportunity to succeed.
The Role
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- September start
- 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 5
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning
- Foster a safe, nurturing and encouraging environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential
- Calm, patient and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Committed to the role on a full-time basis
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
