Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support)

Job Description

We are currently working with Cornish schools to provide 121 Behaviour Support for students at risk of exclusion come September.

This role will be working with students with SEMH and are particularly challenging within the classroom - your role will be to mentor and guide them through the school day. This role would suit a previous Youth Worker, Psychology Graduate or Teaching Assistant wanting an opportunity to progress and work in different settings with a variety of students.

The successful applicant will work with individuals and small groups of students with Special Educational Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health needs. They will be responsible for planning preparing and delivering learning activities and support in lessons and will use a variety of learning techniques to meet the needs of all students.

We are looking for passionate individuals who will support all students with their social, emotional and physical well-being. The successful applicant will have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy. A HTLA qualification or previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
