Could you support a KS1 pupil with severe Autism? Then I need you!

Opportunity to work in a larger than average 'Outstanding' Knowsley SEND Primary School.

Classroom or behaviour support experience within the last twelve months is essential for this role.

The role:

The successful applicant will be required to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with severe Autism. The pupil's needs include communicating through Makaton and PEC's, developing social skills and positively managing behaviour within a classroom environment. A strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum is highly sought after in order to support the pupil with progression.


The school:
The school is a SEND Primary school located in Knowsley. The school received 'Outstanding' from OFSTED in 2017 and specifically praised all staff for the support and progression of all EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils. The school can be easily accessed from junction 5 of the M62 and M57 and a range of public transport links.


Essential:
Recent Classroom or behaviour support experience within the last twelve months is essential for this role. The Head Teacher is seeking a support assistant who can hit the ground running and use extending knowledge to support the pupil. A CACHE Level 3 qualification and Team-Teach certificate is highly sought after.
