Teaching Assistant required in Preston behavioural unit!

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours?

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Leyland based School which caters for pupils with SEMH difficulties, Autism and Learning Difficulties. The School is smaller than average and currently has 40 pupils on roll. The pupils range in age from 10-18 and many of the pupils in School will display challenging behaviours. Ideally, the candidate will hold their Team Teach qualification but this is not essential.

The School is based centrally in the Leyland area with close links to public transport. The School provides education for pupils who cannot remain in mainstream education and the role will require you to work specifically on a 1:1 basis with pupils who are particularly disengaged in their school work.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with SEMH difficulties, Autism, Learning Difficulties and pupils who display challenging behaviours. The candidate must be seeking a long term role as the position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

* Negotiable pay rates £50.44 - 55 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
