Full-Time Teaching Assistant needed in Wimbledon (SEN experience preferable)

Friendly and inclusive primary schools in Wimbledon are seeking committed Full-Time Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a supportive and proactive individual who enjoys helping children with additional needs grow in confidence, learning and wellbeing.
About the Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The aim is to help pupils fully access learning while developing independence, confidence and positive classroom engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs)
- Supporting pupils’ academic development and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with classroom organisation, resources and lesson preparation
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff and parents where needed
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (preferable)
- Previous school-based experience

- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
