Teaching Assistant needed in Northampton

A large primary school in Northampton are seeking an outgoing and committed teaching assistant to join their established team on full time basis.

This school has recently been graded as good by Ofsted and has a low staff turn over.

Due to additional funding the school needs an experienced teaching assistant to provide additional 1:1 support.

You will be supporting children who are have a range SEN needs, including Autism, Profound Multiple learning Disabilities, and more. In order to support these children accordingly you should have qualities that allow you to be patient, compassionate and effectively communicative.

The school you will be working at is an extremely friendly and motivated environment. They are passionate about education and giving children positive learning experiences. We are looking for teaching assistants who can contribute their knowledge of the curriculum and be a positive member of the school community. Within SEN schools you should be able to work as a team alongside other members of staff and adapt quickly according to the individual children and the class environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
