Teaching Assistant - Needed for April start

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and committed to helping children achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to assist in delivering high-quality learning experiences across the primary curriculum. The role involves supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.
Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons

Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
-
Assist pupils with additional needs, including SEND
-
Prepare classroom resources and learning materials
-
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
-
Support positive behaviour management in line with school policy
-
Supervise pupils during break times, trips, and extracurricular activities
-
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
What We Are Looking For
-
Experience working with primary-aged children (school-based experience desirable)
-
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Strong literacy and numeracy skills
-
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
-
A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
-
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
