Position: Teaching Assistant

When: Monday to Friday

Time: 08:30 – 3:30

Pay: GBP10.00 per hour including contributions to National Insurance, Pension and Holiday Pay.

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a FLUENT WELSH speaking Teaching Assistant to work full time in a school in Neath. The role would include assisting a group of pupils who need additional support in a Year 5 class.

Duties and Responsibilities

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to be comfortable working with children in Key Stage 2 assisting and work collaboratively with colleagues to continue to meet the standards required for the children to progress under the instruction of the class teacher. The succesful candidate must be available to work between 8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday and must be able to work inside and in the outside area on occassions.

The ability to communicate through the medium of welsh is essential for this post.

About the school

The school is maintained by Neath Port Talbot local authority. There are just over 250 pupils, including 50 nursery-age pupils. Although welsh is the main medium of the school, only a few pupils come from Welsh-speaking homes. Pupils who leave the Primary School tend to go to Ysgol Gyfun Bro Dur or Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera.
