Are you looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant job role!

The school is a Secondary Special School for 11-19 year old students with severe/profound and complex learning difficulties, some of whom have an autistic spectrum disorder in addition to their learning difficulty. At Walton Leigh they have a strong focus on supporting their students on their journey to adulthood, taking their individual needs into account at each step. They have experienced and committed staff that work closely with students and their families to develop independence and confidence in a safe environment, as well as supporting their emotional health and well-being. Every pupil is valued and challenged to succeed to the best of their ability in all aspects of their learning, with progress recognised and celebrated.

Your role will be to support and help engage the children academically as well as building relationships with the students so that they succeed in there school years and have the best opportunities in life. You will be working 1:1 with the children in classrooms no bigger than 10 students. It is very rewarding job role however, does require patience and can be challenging at times. If you have a passion for educations and children we offer temporary, part-time and full-time placements.

Key aspects of working within the industry are creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment. You are there to help children to achieve their goals as well as supporting them within their daily routine.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
