Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Cardiff
Pay: GBP60.59 - GBP65.23 a day
Start date: September (Full-time, temporary, long-term)

A partner Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis. The school are committed to challenging and inspiring their pupils and are keen to meet candidates with the following desirable qualities:
- Experience supporting children – ideally in Key stage 2
- At least 1 year’s experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (i.e. ADHD, Autism, Global Delay)
- Strong behaviour management skills. At least 3-6 months experience supporting behavioural issues is required (this does not necessarily need to be in an educational setting)
- A Resilient, driven and self-motivated personality
- A child-only DBS and knowledge of Safeguarding (although Teaching Personnel can help you obtain these)
- Registered with the EWC
- Any relevant qualifications or a degree
The role would entail supporting a child with behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis. You may also be required to run intervention groups (literacy and numeracy) from time to time.
