This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as a Teaching Assistant at a secondary school.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant position - January 2020 start date.
  • Supporting students with SEN and additional learning needs within a large secondary school.
  • Large mixed comprehensive 11-16 secondary school located in Bolton.
  • Earn up to GBP65 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications).
  • Excellent facilities and supportive SEN department, with state of the art resources.

Prospective applicants and aspiring Teaching Assistants will ideally have experience of supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) previously, although this is not essential as the school will provide support and training for this progressive position. Roles and responsibilities will involve providing in-class support to identified students, as well as running small group intervention sessions across key subject areas including English, Maths and Science.

The large secondary school is situated in Bolton, near to the M61 and accessible via public transportation links from Bury, Salford and Wigan. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supported by senior leadership and an experienced SENCO. The SEN department has a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Mentors.
