Teaching Assistant

I am looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to work within the Exeter area.

The successful candidates will provide individual support and supervision for students aged between 5-12, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, helping the class teacher, working towards agreed aims and objectives. They will plan and deliver parts of the learning or intervention programme for the young people. They will work 1:1 and in small groups with students as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people.

We are looking for experienced practitioners, with a good general standard of education, who have a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people. High levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm are essential, as well as the ability to inspire, motivate and empathise with young people.

This candidate is required to have good experience of working in a school setting. 

Experience with SEN is also desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
