Teaching Assistant Role:

• 1:1 and group support
• Supervising children’s play time
• Assisting children during meal and snack time
• Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils stay on task
• Creating resources for lessons
• Social and emotional support

The School:

This school based in Ebbw Vale looking for a Teaching Assistant prides itself on ensuring that all pupils are learning in a supportive, caring school environment. The school value the links between home and school and the important of working in partnerships with families. The schools caters for around 200 pupils aged between 4 and 11 years old with 35% of pupils being identified as having additional learning needs. In the schools latest inspection ESTYN graded the school ‘Good’ in all inspection areas including; standards, wellbeing and attitudes towards learning; teaching and learning experiences; care, support and guidance; leadership and management. ESTYN commented that although most pupils enter the school with lower-than-expected levels of skills and understanding for their age, nearly all make good progress during their time at school.
