Do you have experience working on a 1:1 basis? Are you looking for your next position supporting a child in their education?
I am currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with social, emotional and mental heath needs. The school is based in Littleport and are looking for someone flexible and passionate who is able to give the appropriate support and provide boundaries. This post may also see you supporting other pupils which can allow for some differentiation in your own job role!
The post is full time and will commence in September and will run until October half term initially, with the likelihood that it will continue if it is a successful placement.
The role will consist of the following duties:
- Provide a professional, approachable and helpful assistance to the teacher
- Help with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
- Guide the child with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
- Ensure a safe place of work for the child and other students within the classroom
- Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
- Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
- Working with small groups and 1:1

To be successful for this role, you will need to be:
- Experienced in a similar role, or child based environment
- Have a genuine passion to work with children
- Approachable manner
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not mandatory

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
