SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • Are you passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as full-time Teaching Assistants with a focus on SEMH. The chosen educator will be expected to support primary pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as building strong relationships with the pupils, you will support the pupils with their needs (Autism and ADHD) and provide support academically and socially.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and the ability to apply appropriate strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting students' emotional well-being.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education, counselling, or related fields will be considered an advantage.
  • UK resident with right to work 
  • Child Only DBS or willing to obtain

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
