Want to get your foot in the door in education but not sure how?

 

 

Teaching Personnel work closely with a number of special educational needs school in and around Manchester, who are regularly looking for extra support for the students in the classroom.

Your role would be to support the children throughout their day, attending classes with your assigned student/s and helping them to be involved in all activities and break down their work. Some may have additional mobility needs or need support with fine motor skills (writing/ holding a pen etc) which you would also be required to support them with.
You will need to engage with them, help them to communicate and ensure they are involved and trying to join in to the best of their ability.

This role is very rewarding as you can see a direct impact of your support on the children, however you may face some challenges in helping to manage behaviour and emotional well being. It's ideal to have a caring, understanding and patient approach to working with the students so they feel at ease and safe in your care.

Our schools require this support on a range of different contracts, be it day to day cover, short or long term cover, and can even offer permanent roles.
The hours of work are 8.30am-3.30pm (approx) Monday to Friday at a rate of GBP9.50 per hour, which is inclusive of holiday pay.

All candidates will need a child workforce DBS which is registered to the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
