If so, we'd love to hear from you!
We work with special educational needs schools all over Manchester and Greater Manchester who will be in need of Teaching Assistants to support students within the classroom.

The students have a range of different needs, such as Autism spectrum condition, Aspergers, Downs Syndrome, Sensory delay and can additionally have physical disabilities, and require an adapted approach to support within school.
As a Teaching Assistant, you would be assigned to a small group of students or on a 1:1 basis, and would be responsible for the security and well being of these students.
You will support them in the classroom, assisting them in understanding and completing their work and activities, and ensuring they are involved and engaged with the class. Additionally, you will support their emotional well being and behaviour as due to their needs they may become stressed easily, and be responsible for any personal care needs they may have such as toileting.

To excel in this role, you should be caring and supportive, proactive and enthusiastic and most importantly willing to give 100% effort.

The hours take place between 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday and can also be offered on a flexible basis, so is perfect for applicants who need a school hours role or are looking to gain experience.

Please be aware that all applicants must have a child only DBS which is registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for one in time for a September start.
