We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School based in Cardiff. This role involves working with secondary-aged pupils with additional learning needs across our school's dedicated hub and mainstream environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Assist in the delivery of personalised learning programs in both the school's hub and mainstream classrooms.
- Support pupils with their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to provide a consistent and nurturing environment.
- Help manage classroom behavior and provide a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assist in preparing learning materials and resources as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with additional learning needs is highly desirable.
- A positive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting pupils’ individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education or supporting students are desirable but not essential.
