Teaching Assistants & Unqualified Teachers– Full-Time & Part-Time

Locations: Cardiff & Caerphilly
Contract: Full-Time & Part-Time, with opportunities available until the end of the academic year
Start Date: ASAP
Pay:

  • Teaching Assistants: £93 per day
  • Cover Supervisors: from £120 per day, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors to work across Secondary schools throughout Cardiff and Caerphilly.

Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you may be responsible for:

  • Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Supporting teachers with lesson activities
  • Working with pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Supporting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff

Cover Supervisor – Key Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
  • Keep pupils engaged and focused on their work
  • Provide appropriate feedback to teaching staff
  • Ensure pupils remain safe and follow school expectations

Previous Cover Supervisor experience is beneficial, but training and progression opportunities are available for suitable Teaching Assistants.
