Teaching Personnel's SEN Teaching Assistants work with pupils who have various learning difficulties such as Autism and Profound Learning Difficulties.

SEN Teaching Assistants will work alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve levels of attendance and behaviour.   Our staff establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.

Your role would include undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/programmes, both on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, taking into consideration pupil learning styles.

SEN Teaching Assistants challenge and motivate, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem alongside providing levels of individual pastoral support to pupils.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would be required to support the pupils in the classroom, helping them concentrate on work and making sure that noise levels are kept to a minimum. The teaching assistant role will be working with children that have various conditions that are aged between the years of 2-11.The school is graded Ofsted 'Outstanding' specialist school that caters for pupils with various difficulties and challenging behaviours.  A large number of the pupils suffer from Autistic spectrum condition, which requires the school to have work in small class rooms with a number of experienced staff, and have numerous sensory rooms.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
