Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join the support department of a large secondary school in Bury.

• Full-time Teaching Assistant.

The school has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is known for its successful behaviour policies and welcoming staff community. The incoming teaching assistant can expect to work with some pupils who have minor learning disabilities or SEN and as a result require extra assistance to stay on target. Our client school have also designed a specific department with modern facilities and equipment to support pupils with SEN. The successful candidate can expect to work within the SEN department as well as mainstream lessons.

Application requirements

To be considered for this position, the incoming applicant must have transferrable experience to work within an educational setting. Any direct experience within a secondary school is desirable however, not essential as all relevant support will be provided. Any specific experience with SEN or additional learning needs will also be transferrable for this position.

Our client secondary school is based in Bury and can be accessed via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas of Bury including central Manchester, Bolton and Rochdale. The school also has excellent links to public transport, being close by to the town centre, with access from neighbouring area such as Prestwich and Radcliffe.
