Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role?

Do you have experience supporting young people?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Salford, aiding them in recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. Due to an unexpected amount of pupils who require additional support, our client school require a Teaching Assistant to join their team to ensure all students have the correct support they require.

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant role available immediately until the end of the academic year.
  • Support pupils aged 11-16.
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on experience and responsibilities given.
  • Work alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16 across a range of subjects including Maths and English.
  • Providing tuition and small group interventions to pupils ranging in ability.
  • Opportunity to cover full classes with the support of class teachers.
  • Gain experience in a classroom setting as a Teaching Assistant

Working as a Teaching Assistant in one of our client schools will include the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Delivering intervention sessions to support pupils' progress and attainment.
  • Ensure all students have the correct support and that class teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.
  • Supporting the class teacher and helping to cover pre-planned lessons in their absence.
  • Working in both small groups and 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within specific subjects.

Application Requirements

  • You must have experience working within an educational setting with children and young people or skills that are transferrable within a Teaching Assistant capacity.
  • Any specific experience in English, Maths or Science is also desirable.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.

Our client school is based in Salford and is easily accessible via the M61 and M60 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. Our client school can also be accessed via several public transportation routes within Salford from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury.
