Teaching Assistant

Full Time Teaching Assistant Wanted in Redruth.

Job Requirements:

• Work under the direction of the class teacher across the curriculum to deliver excellent teaching and learning
•  Work with the staff to create stimulating and purposeful classroom displays and learning resources across the school setting
• Create opportunities for all learners to make good progress, irrespective of ability
• Deliver sessions to support focused targets according to Individual Education Plans
•  Assist children on a 1:1 or small group basis        
• Offer positive praise to develop children’s self-esteem and confidence
• Provide motivation and encourage children to reach their potential
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all learners

Although previous school-based experience is desirable it is not essential and previous relevant jobs will not be disregarded. Safeguarding Training is necessary and can be achieved through Teaching Personnel, along with other CPD Training. GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English will be required.
