A small SEN School located in Bude are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is available to start immediately. The successfully appointed Teaching Assistant will work 8.30am - 3.30pm (Monday - Friday). This position will be a term time only role but may have the chance to go permanent for the perfect candidate.
The School itself caters for pupils with a variety of needs including: Moderate to serve SEN, wheelchairs users and those who have significant interaction or communication difficulties. Due to the nature of the needs of the pupils it would be ideal for the Teaching Assistant to have experience working within a special school or similar setting and applicants with personal experience will also be considered.
Your duties as a Teaching Assistant will include:
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with pupils with SEN.
- Supporting classroom Teachers as and where directed and feeding back to them at the end of the day.
- Working inside and outside of the classroom and offering a range of support to students and staff.
