Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an excellent Secondary School in Newcastle to recruit a full time, dedicated Teaching Assistant to work alongside students displaying Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is for a full time role, commencing ASAP!

As an ASC Teaching Assistant you will be working with children in Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be passionate and ready to work alongside students that may sometimes experience challenging behaviour and seem unengaged in the classroom and learning. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 basis with children and assist in their learning.

The ideal candidate will:

-          Support implementation of strategies to manage behaviour

-          Record and report the students progress to the teacher and parents

-          Establish and maintain relationships with the children and other staff

-          Be reliable, passionate and personable

-          Have some ASC experience working with young people

Teaching Personnel can offer the successful ASC support classroom assistant competitive pay rates of GBP57-GBP65 per day, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. The role will be held up until half term.
