Confident, resilient and adaptable Teaching Assistants required in Wiltshire.

This is a full time position, starting ASAP. Permanent opportunities are available for the right candidates. 

The school is an SEN school that caters for pupils aged 4-19. The pupils can display challenging behaviour so you must be confident supporting this.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work within the classroom, liaise with the class teacher, pastoral team and the SEN Team and be willing to provide bespoke support for students.

We would welcome applications from:

-          Those who have experience of working with children or adults with SEMH

-          Youth Workers

-          Psychology Graduates

-          Previous army and police officers

-          Mental Health support workers

We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our students. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning.

Key attributes for this role are:

-          Experience of supporting children or adults with SEN needs and/or disabilities SEND especially in SEMH.

-          High expectations of children's progress, attainment, and behaviour.

-          The ability to use your own initiative, focusing on solving problems.

-          Patience, empathy and good communication skills.

-          Organisation and resourcefulness, the ability to work under pressure with good time management skills and a sense of humour.

-          An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.

-          Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships.

-          Has emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
