Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel is looking for a fantastic Teaching Assistant for a vibrant and inclusive secondary academy in South Bristol. As part of the multi academy trust, they are driven by the values of Hope, Aspiration and Community, ensuring that every young person is supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
The successful educator will work closely with teachers and students to support learning, promote positive behaviour, and help remove barriers to achievement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students in lessons, both individually and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning
- Supporting students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
- Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
- Contributing to the wider life of the academy
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting young people’s learning and development
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills
- Can build positive and respectful relationships with students and staff
- Is patient, flexible, and resilient
- Has experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
