Primary School Teaching Assistant – Weymouth
Location: Weymouth, Dorset
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible supply
Pay: £85 – £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available

Teaching Personnel is working with several welcoming and supportive primary schools in Weymouth to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Whether you're an experienced TA, a recent graduate, or someone looking to gain experience in education—this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a real impact on young learners.
About the role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
- Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive behaviour
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL
- Help create a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment
We’re looking for:
✅ Experience working with children (in a school, nursery, tutoring or youth setting)
✅ A caring, calm and patient approach
✅ Confidence in supporting primary-aged pupils
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ A DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
