Teaching Assistant – Weymouth
1:1 & General Classroom Support | KS1 & KS2 | Flexible Travel
Teaching Personnel is currently supporting a number of warm and welcoming primary schools across Weymouth who are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
We have a variety of opportunities available for those confident working 1:1, providing general classroom support, or a mix of both across KS1 and KS2.
Whether you’re looking for short-term cover, longer-term placements, or consistent weekly work, we can offer flexibility to suit your availability and experience.
Position Details:
Role: Teaching Assistant (1:1 & General TA roles available)
Location: Weymouth + surrounding areas
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities
Contract: Full-time or part-time; short-term or long-term placements
Pay: Paid to scale, depending on experience and role responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children (school-based or transferable experience welcome)
Confidence working with pupils across KS1 and KS2
Ability to provide nurturing, proactive support in both 1:1 and whole-class settings
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A positive, patient, and adaptable mindset
Willingness to commute to nearby schools (driving preferable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
