We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEN school in Waterlooville that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and personalised learning activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
