Teaching Assistant

Full-Time General Teaching Assistant – Primary School | Waterlooville

Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow and thrive? We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Waterlooville, starting in September.

This is a full-time position and would suit someone who enjoys working with children and is keen to make a real difference to their learning and development.

The role will involve:

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Working with individuals and small groups of pupils
• Providing additional support to children who need extra help with their learning
• Supporting pupils with SEN needs as part of the school day
• Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Assisting with general classroom and school duties

The ideal candidate will be:

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Reliable, adaptable and proactive
• Passionate about working with primary-aged children
• Confident supporting children with a range of needs
• Experienced in a school, childcare or SEN setting would be an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
